Hello fellow Diggers. Like the title? I thought I would make everyone’s heart skip a beat hahaha.
I would like to talk for a moment about a pet peeve of mine about Digg though. It’s not really Digg, but some Diggers. Let’s say you use this tool to keep current on your friend’s submissions: http://sandbox.sourcelabs.com/tinc/
You are by the computer most of the day, and you are able to check a few times per day. I don’t mind digging friends’ stories, it’s what Digg is all about. But I swear some people do absolutely nothing all day BUT submit stories to Digg! On average, I probably submit perhaps 10 stories per day. I try and respect my friends, and not work them like a cheap circus hand all day. I have some friends that submit 30, 35, 40 stories per day!!! They are working my ass off like an illegal alien! Please stop. Please let me get a breath here. Don’t you need to go to lunch or something? I’m pretty sure their response would be that they digg all of my submissions, but obviously if I’m only submitting 10 per day, and they are submitting 40, it doesn’t take a degree from Rice University to figure out I’m getting skrewed taken advantage of here.
And here is another pet peeve of mine. I digg all 10 of a friend’s last submissions, so what do they do? They digg 5 of mine! Geeeze I didn’t know this was so hard. Well, have a great weekend. Maybe I’ll have some more things for Monday!

Speaking of digg I saw your FP article about Caleb being denied NFL status a couple days ago.

In my opinion, that’s also worthy of front page on digg. Thought you might be interested in it since you were in the Army and post about the NFL.

Thanks Tom, I appreciate your comment. Yes, I thought this was a good story that once again showed the team comncept of the Army as opposed to individual dreams of going to the NFL. Thanks again.

Hi Lew, I’m glad I remembered this shout of yours. Do you know if the sandbox site is down for good? I’ve had very little digging time the past week with other work, and recently heard about the big upheaval. I never used that greasemonkey script but that sandbox site was my digg homebase.
Oh! And Happy Birthday!!

Hello ULB. I’m pretty sure it’s down for awhile until Digg goes on to other things. I know in my case, it sure makes it difficult to keep track of my diggs that I need to do and i always used the site as a matter of “record keeping”. I hope my friends can bear with me until the site comes back around.
