This and that on Easter Sunday

There is lots to talk about in a way, and then there isn’t much to say at the same time, if that makes sense. So here is my last post for the day in sort of a rapid fire accumulation of several topics for the day.

Here it is Easter, and it’s still chilly, rainy and dark here in Dallas/Fort Worth. I went to the store to get a few things, and I heard this song in the store, and I thought it fit the day.

Finally, a feel-good story we can appreciate

Life can be pretty cruel and cold at times. Sometimes, it’s difficult to see any half-full glasses out there. This story is from the Dallas Morning News  today and it reinforces the thought that there are indeed some heroes out there still.

“He inspires me more than anything. … How doesn’t he inspire everyone?” said the 6-foot-4, 310-pound Procter, who earns his Cowboys keep in the trenches as a reserve center and guard. “Here is a guy who was paralyzed … who they told would never walk, and he’s getting around just fine.”
