Nascar in Texas
I had a blast yesterday at Texas Motor Speedway as the racin came to Texas. I was fortunate to win a tour of the garage area and go to pit row before the race. More to follow.

And then there were two … meet your leaders
From Rick Chandler’s Blog

Neither Nick Hardin (above, left) nor Bryan
Streit (above, right) saw the NCAA Tournament games on Saturday, as
there was a big Star Trek convention in Des Moines. But upon returning home on Monday (following a 26-hour bus trip), the two discovered that they were the only Times-Tribune Pool participants remaining with a
chance for first place. Streit, currently in first with 79 points, needs
Butler to win it all tonight. Hardin needs UConn. If Butler wins, Lew
Patton takes both second and third place. If UConn prevails, it’s
Ali DeFreitas in second, and Natalie Freeman in third. And so for the 25th straight year, no person who submitted multiple bracket entries has ever won the Pool.
Thanks Rick, it’s been a hoot!
