Pacman Jones Makes It Rain, New Video Surfaces of 2007 Incident

From FanHouse

A new video has surfaced showing then-Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones infamously making it rain in a strip club in Las Vegas in 2007.

ESPN acquired the video and previously unreleased court documents for a story that gives more detail than previously known about what, exactly, happened on February 19, 2007, at the Minxx Gentlemen’s Club & Lounge. A fight took place inside the club and a shooting took place outside the club, leaving a bouncer paralyzed. Ten months after the incident, Jones pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct for his role in the fight.

The video is below, and although profanity is bleeped and nudity is blurred, viewer discretion is advised.

Jones said he brought close to $100,000 in cash with him to the club, and the video shows Jones throwing cash around, a.k.a., making it rain. ESPN details the new evidence:

Jones, with his bodyguard present in the background, can be seen on the video repeatedly throwing money to a dancer off stage at his feet and then over his shoulder to several dancers on stage. When several dancers bent over to collect the cash, Dupri took over the DJ’s microphone and said: “We gonna show y’all how to make it rain.”

“Don’t start getting the money until I tell y’all to get off the stage,” Dupri said. “… Just keep f—ing dancing! Don’t bend down and try to get your money.”

Moments after Dupri made those comments, the video recording ended. It was after 4:30 a.m. when trouble inside Minxx began.

According to court documents, Jones became angry when a dancer and a club promoter continued sweeping up the money he had thrown on the stage.

Jones was suspended for the entire 2007 season for his role in that and other incidents, and he was traded to the Dallas Cowboys prior to the 2008 season. He was suspended for part of 2008 as well and was released by the Cowboys early this year. He is currently an unrestricted free agent and eligible to sign with any team.
