Yesterday, I had the chance to go out to Cedar Hill State Park and Joe Pool Lake and see first-hand what the winds of winter coming in to north Texas looked like. The wind had to be gusting at about 30 mph. Most people would shutter (like me), but some people went sailing.
I was able to catch some great video. Just to give some perspective, here is the first video showing you what it looked like on the bank.
Notice the sail boats on the horizon at about 1:00?
Then, from this same vantage point, I was able to zoom to the sail boats with my Olympus SP-800UZ to get some of the best video ever. Have a look.
Let’s compare the same video to YouTube’s high def video:
The wind was up and the temps were falling, but it was a nice day to see old man winter enter.
