Don’t mess with Texas ads successful

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the TV commercials that started that whole Don’t mess with Texas slogan has been a pretty successful ad campaign.

So successful in fact, they are celebrating 25 years of TV ads saying Don’t mess with Texas.

Don’t Mess with Texas means don’t litter. And that’s no joke.

Since 1986, we’ve kept tons of trash off of Texas roads and highways. But with over 24 million people living in our great state and more moving in every day, there’s always more work to be done. Check out the many ways you can get involved. See where you can lend a hand, order a free litterbag, report a litterer, or just sit back and watch your favorite Don’t Mess with Texas commercials.

It’s a pretty nice website promoting the whole thing, but I just wish websites would make thier videos able to share. So I had to go to YouTube to find some of the ads so I can show them here. Then, people are supposed to vote on thier favorite ad and then TexDot will name a winner later this year.

Here are some of the videos:

So, if you get the chance, go to the website and view many more of the videos and vote for your favorite!
