Former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Godfrey Myles died Thursday from complications of a  heart attack, according to the University of Florida. He was 42.

Myles’ cousin, Donald Holley, said he suffered a heart attack Wednesday in Miami.

Myles, a third-round pick from Florida, played six seasons with the Cowboys,  winning three Super Bowl titles. Myles, a backup linebacker, started 11 games  during the 1995 season. He suffered a torn ACL in the Cowboys’ Super Bowl XXX
victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

His NFL career ended the next season.

At Florida, Myles was a team captain and first-team All-SEC pick as a senior  in 1990.

Calvin Watkins covers the Cowboys for ESPNDallas.com.

Solid NBA Finals analysis by clearly insane German man (video)

Our good friend Rick Chandler over at Off the Bench, just knocked one out of the park with this entry. This German in the video is so cheesy, he just cracked me up. Let me just repost Rick’s entry:

A recent study rated Germans as the least humorous nationality, and you can’t really disprove those findings with Flula Borg, the Bavarian-born DJ/TV personality/Dirk Nowitzki fan who enjoys playing on YouTube. Here’s Flula dissing the Miami Heat in his unique Flula way, which includes the declaration: “Miami Heat stay home! Netflix.” Also: “Chris Bosh: here inside, poo-poo time!”

Dirk Nowitzki: He plays good, like an iPod.

Maverick Prayer

“Our Mavericks, who art in Texas, winners be thy name. The Heat will come, they will be done, in Miami as they will be in Texas. Give us this week a series win, and forgive us our Home loss as we cause home losses upon them. Lead us not into the offseason, but deliver us a…Championship. Amen.”

Wake up call: How low can Wade and LeBron go?

This story is going viral, if you will pardon the pun.

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James were caught pretending to be sick and apparently mocking Dirk Nowitzki on camera by channel 11 in Dallas. Nowitzki had a fever above 100 degrees during Game 4, but still managed to lead the Mavericks to a series-tying victory.

Here is the video:

Karma, if you believe in such a thing, came back to get Wade? He injured his hip
early in Game 5 and tried to play through it.

Wow. Pretty bold move guys. At least the Mavs won Game 5 and now are 1 win away from winning this series. I would imagine the Mavs will have the last laugh. Oh, and did I mention karma?
